Karl Fogel has written (and keeps updated) an awesome book called Producing Open Source Software. It’s available on line for free, or you can get the dead tree version from O’Reilly. He has a lot to say about open source projects which is interesting and thought-provoking, even if you don’t agree with it all. Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be posting some quotations from it. Perhaps some people will be encouraged to read the whole thing :-)
Quotations, by their nature, are a little out of context. Please note that there is no intention for these quotations to be disguised attacks on (or compliments for!) particular projects or people, either within Mozilla or outside it. The aim is to provoke thought and discussion.
