Where was licensing for XPIDL output clarified? What was the issue?
Dan: Someone was asking whether the licence of the XPIDL code tainted the output. (I.e. is the XPIDL compiler like lex/flex/yacc/bison, which include parts of themselves in the output, or is it like a C compiler?)
Having consulted with bsmedberg, we came to the conclusion that no, it wasn’t tainted. The outputs of the XPIDL compiler have the same licence as the inputs.
