Bugzilla API 1.1 Released

I am proud to announce the release of version 1.1 of the Bugzilla REST API. This release has performance improvements to reduce the load on Bugzilla, and other things helpful to Bugzilla admins.

I notice a lot of clients are still using BzAPI 0.9; this will go away in 2 weeks, on 19th March. There is a limit to the number of old versions we can support on the server, particularly as the older ones put a larger load on Bugzilla. Please use either the /1.1 or the /latest endpoints.

  1. When I release a new version I post release notes. There should be no consumer-visible changes in 1.1 over 1.0. The differences between 1.0 and 0.9 are in the 1.0 release announcement. It also had very few consumer-visible changes; the API has been stable for some time now.

One change not mentioned in those is that doing /user calls now returns the groups the user is a member of; this was an enhancement to Bugzilla which BzAPI automatically picked up because of the way it’s written.
